Cathy OBrien

Cathy OBrien is a strategic brand builder and operator with over 25 years of global brand-building experience. Having spent her professional career as an integral part of top companies’ executive teams and founding two of her own, Ms. OBrien has been responsible for building businesses as well as identifying and launching emerging talents to worldwide success.

Currently, Cathy is the CEO of NATUROPATHICA, a leading holistic wellbeing company known for its healing services and SPAS, and clean, clinically proven botanical skincare. As CEO, she is responsible for accelerating Naturopathica’ s growth in the clean beauty and wellness space, driving product and service innovation, expanding into new channels and markets, and continuing to build on the brand’s industry-leading services, and spa/healing centers with their Oncology Care treatment program.

She has held senior positions at Estée Lauder, as Global Vice President in charge of building the Jo Malone business, Tommy Hilfiger, Prescriptives, La Mer and Kate Spade. Prior to her work In Beauty, Cathy was a leader in the Music Industry culminating at BMG / Arista Records where she was the Head of the International Division, reporting to Clive Davis, working with artists such as Whitney Houston, Notorious BIG, Usher, and Pink, among others. Cathy went on to found AAM Brand Management Group, a full-service Brand Management organization focusing on building brands in the beauty, wellness, and fashion spaces providing a wide range of capabilities on the forefront of today’s ever evolving technology, distribution, social media, ecommerce, and consumer shopping landscapes. Clients included Hermes, Avon, Marimekko, Givenchy, Acqua di Parma, Sam Edelman, HINT Water, Fit Flop, among others. Additionally, she co-founded Bonafide Beauty Lab, an accelerator for founder-led beauty brands, and as part of that endeavor built and ran Beauty by POPSUGAR - an eighty sku color brand - In partnership with ULTA Beauty.

Cathy’s personal focus has been on helping women in need and has worked in the Domestic Violence space for a variety of organizations including The National Domestic Violence Hotline, Sanctuary for Families, and Mount Sinai Hospital. She earned her master’s in social work from Columbia University during Covid, and a Certificate in Domestic Violence Prevention from the University of Massachusetts. She continues to support women in need through her work as an MSW.
